Three shot as gunman opens fire on patio without warning

COLUMBUS, OH – Today, October 12, 2021, at 2:22 am, officers responded to the 1600 block of Alona Dr. on a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located 3 victims. Witnesses stated that unknown suspect(s) approached the victims and without provocation, opened fire.

Two of the victims were struck while outside on the patio, the third victim was struck by one of the multiple bullets that had penetrated into the apartment. The victims were transported to area hospitals and are expected to survive their injuries.
