SANTEE, CA – Videos are emerging from yesterday’s crash of a plane into the neighborhood in the vicinity of Santana High School.

Shortly after the crash, the Santee fire department confirmed the incident, “Multiple crews are working an aircraft crash in the area of Greencastle and Jeremy, just east of Santana High School. There is no threat to the school.”

The crash was captured video by a nearby deck camera and shows the plane descending into the neighborhood. The plane slid down Greencastle Street before hitting a UPS truck and crashed into nearby homes. The UPS driver and the pilot, Dr. Sugata Das, an Arizona cardiologist were both killed.

Residents were rescued from their burning homes by others. Two homes and multiple vehicles burned in the ensuing blaze. Two others were injured and treated at local hospitals, police said.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
