Pumpkin vandal caught on video, solving neighborhood unsolved crime mystery

Jessica Woods

The neighborhood knew there was a criminal about vandalizing their fall pumpkin displays, but one resident was shocked when they caught the perp red-handed on their Ring Doorbell camera. He was caught eating the pumpkins and even took one to go for a midnight snack later on.

This bear didn’t want to wait till Halloween to get his treat. When Evan woke up to half-eaten pumpkins on his doorstep, he checked the video from his Ring Video Doorbell with a Ring Protect subscription to see what had happened during the night.

“It was quite a lot [of] laughter when we saw that the bear walked down the front walk of our house to eat the pumpkins,” Evan says. “Ring always provides that little extra bit of comfort, especially with animals like that walking around.”
