Woman kidnapped, threatened to be killed by ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend, shot as she fled

MERCED, CA – On October 12, 2021, at approximately 9:30 am, Merced County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of West Highway 140 and Rosa Road, in Stevinson for a report of a female victim saying she was kidnapped and threatened to be killed by her ex-boyfriend.

The Merced County Sheriff’s Investigations Bureau learned through their investigation, the suspect and his current girlfriend kidnapped the victim from her home. The victim was able to escape but was chased and shot at as she fled. Merced County Sheriff’s S.W.A.T Team served a search warrant in the 21000 block of 4th Avenue, in Stevinson and arrested the two suspects without incident.

The suspects are identified as 36-year-old Victor Martinez Nunez and 39-year-old Elizabeth Cisneros. They were both booked into the Merced County Jail for attempted murder and kidnapping.
