Columbus police still searching for gas station carjacker who dragged victim

COLUMBUS, OH – On August 11, 2021, at 1:48 am, the victim was fueling his vehicle at the BP Station located at 935 Morse Rd. when a newer black Toyota Camry pulled up next to the victim’s vehicle, a white 2018 Toyota Camry. One of two young black male suspects exits the suspect vehicle and enters the victim’s vehicle. Moments later the suspect drove off while the victim was still pumping gas. The 37-year-old victim attempted to stop the theft and open the driver’s side door to only to be dragged across the parking lot and violently tossed to the ground. The original suspect vehicle then sped by nearly striking the victim. The victim’s stolen Camry was later recovered on 8/20/2021 at the 700 block of Canonby Place.
