ODENTON, MARYLAND – Congratulations to the first Maryland winner of a $50,000 Powerball Double Play prize. Check your tickets from the Saturday, Oct. 23 drawing if you added Double Play to a Powerball ticket purchased at Lucky’s Deli & Market located at 1101 Odenton Road in Odenton.

Our winner is one of 45,120 Double Play winners nationwide of prizes ranging from $7 to $50,000, and one of 2,485 Marylanders who won in Saturday’s Double Play drawing. In all, six Double Play winners across the country won $50,000 third-tier prizes.

Players can add Double Play to their $2 Powerball tickets for an additional $1, making their numbers eligible for a second drawing that follows the Powerball drawing. Double Play prizes range from $7 to $10 million. Maryland had the nation’s first $10 million Double Play winner in the Sept. 27 drawing on a ticket sold at Rockville Exxon at White Flint located at 11433 Rockville Pike in Rockville. No one has stepped forward yet to claim that prize.

The lucky Double Play numbers to match from Saturday’s drawing are 3, 8, 10, 11 and 33; the Powerball was 7. The player must match four of the white balls and the Powerball to win a $50,000 Double Play prize.

Lottery officials encourage all of our winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes. Instructions on claiming prizes in person or by mail are available HERE. Players must redeem prizes larger than $25,000 by mail or at Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore. The Lottery’s Claims Center in Baltimore is open by appointment only (no walk-ins). Click here to schedule an appointment.

Because no one hit the Powerball jackpot on Saturday, it rolled to $93 million for the Monday, Oct. 25 drawing. The cash option is $65.3 million.
