HALETHORPE, MARYLAND – A couple from Halethorpe was already working toward moving into a new home, and a $100,000 Maryland Lottery win will make it that much easier for them.

The two recently bought a $10 Royal Cash Fortune instant ticket at Randy’s New Experience Bar & Grill at 2135 East North Avenue in Baltimore. They scratched it off and won the fifth of the game’s eight $100,000 top prizes. There are also another 12 $10,000 prizes awaiting discovery.

The pair are regulars when it comes to playing the Lottery. They enjoy the excitement of feeling as if they could be on the verge of a big win during the scratching process.

The $100,000 prize they claimed on Oct. 22 by far their biggest to date, as previous big scores have been in the $100 range with a $2,000 hit being the previous top-dollar prize.

Although they aren’t exactly sure how the big prize will figure into their moving plans – they were too excited to make any decisions – they are sure about one aspect of their future: they will continue playing Lottery scratch-off games.

Sharing in the couple’s good fortune is Randy’s, which picks up a bonus of $1,000 from the Lottery for selling a top-prize winning scratch-off of $100,000 or more.
