OCALA, FL – At approximately 5:30 pm on Tuesday, Ocala sheriff’s officers responded to a shooting in the 3800 block of SE 95th Street in Ocala. When deputies arrived they located an adult black male who was deceased. Deputies located the suspect and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit ended in Sumter County when a successful P.I.T. maneuver was conducted and the suspect was taken into custody. Please avoid SE 95th Street in Ocala as it is closed at this time.
The victim has been identified as Willie Lee Jones Jr., (B/M, DOB:6/26/61). Major Crimes detectives are still investigating, we will continue to update when we have more information.
