He stabbed and killed father in front of his 9-year-old daughter over skateboard beef

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – On March 29, 2021, at approximately 9:11 p.m., Southeast District patrol officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Conkling Street to investigate a reported assault.

When officers arrived at the location, they observed 30-year-old Marcus Wilson suffering from cuts to the face and stab wounds to the torso. Medics were summoned to the scene and transported the victim to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment. Medical personnel pronounced the victim died shortly after arrival. Homicide detectives assumed control over the investigation and learned the victim was with his five-year-old daughter at the time of the incident. The victim and his daughter were skateboarding to a nearby store to buy a soda.

During their travels, the suspect and victim exchanged words over skateboarding in the street. The suspect stabbed the victim multiple times in front of his daughter. Through the course of their investigation, homicide detectives were able to positively identify a suspect. On October 26, 2021, 37-year-old Nicholas Martinez Figueroa was arrested and formally charged with the 1st Degree Murder of Marcus Wilson. Figueroa was denied bail and is currently being held at the Baltimore City Central Booking Intake Facility.
