In 16 years, whole regions of America could be uninhabitable, AOC predicts

New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez has stepped up to the plate and is now carrying the climate apocalypse torch once carried by former Vice President Al Gore. After first blaming cow farts in 2019, she has now shifted the blame to America’s big oil companies for the impending climate apocalypse.

In 2019, she predicted the world will end by 2031. Now, she is pushing her predicted apocalypse out a few more years, to 2038.

According to Politifact, Al Gore once told a conference that the polar ice caps would start vanishing in the summer months.

Citing researchers during a 2009 climate change conference, Gore said there was a 75% chance that ice in the Arctic could be gone during at least some summer months within five to seven years, Politifact reported.

Now, Cortez is sounding the alarm again. In 2019, she said the world will end in twelve years if Americans don’t address climate change.

“Millennials and Gen Z and all these folks that come after us are looking up, and we’re like, ‘The world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change, and your biggest issue is how are we gonna pay for it?’ ” she said.

This week, the junior congresswoman said she feared by 2028 crop yields will begin to fail and famine will take over the world. By 2038, whole regions of the United States will be unlivable, she said.

“I think one thing that often gets lost in these conversations is that some of us have to actually live the future that you all are setting on fire,” Cortez said. “By 2028, crop yields are already projected to begin to fail with famine beginning to hit the world’s most vulnerable population. By 2038, current U.S. drought, fire, and heat trends will…could potentially make whole regions of the United States unlivable.”
