14-year-old shot and killed in Camden

Camden, N.J. – A 14-year-old male was fatally shot in Camden, announced Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.

Officers responded to the 2000 block of Berwick Street at approximately 10:44 p.m. Friday for a report of a shooting. They located the juvenile suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The juvenile was taken to Cooper Hospital. He was pronounced deceased at 11:12 p.m.

“Our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends of this young victim,” said Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer. “Rest assured our homicide unit will do everything in their power to figure out who is responsible for this senseless act of gun violence.”
