Some New Jersey trick or treaters got pot gummies on Halloween

by Phil Stilton

STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ – Either somebody in Stafford Township wanted to give children great treats or somebody in Stafford Township is upset because they accidentally gave away their pot goodies.

At least one trick or treater received “Nerdy Bears” a THC laced gummy candy in their Halloween bag this past Sunday.

“On 11/1/21 it was reported to the Stafford Township Police Department that the candy shown below was found in a child’s Halloween bag. The child had been Trick-or-Treating in the Ocean Acres area of town, in the “Oaks” section near Anchor Avenue. Parents, as always, PLEASE CHECK all of your child’s candy to ensure it’s safety. To report additional incidents or information, please contact Detective Dunfee at 609-597-1000 ext. 8444 or Rdunfee@staffordpolice.org,” the Stafford Police Department said in a release.
