Minnesota man who stabbed woman, himself in Panama City Beach said he was driven by jealousy

PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL – On November 3, 2021, the Bay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a stabbing at a residence on Clarence Street on Panama City Beach. Deputies arrived to find a woman with multiple injuries. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment. She is in stable condition.

BCSO Criminal investigators determined that the woman’s attacker was Marvin Josue Gusman, age 31, of Minnesota, and that he had inflicted her wounds with a knife.

Gusman was quickly located nearby. He was found with a knife stuck into his abdomen, and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigators spoke with Gusman today and he stated he attacked the victim because he was jealous, then stabbed himself afterward out of grief. Gusman was placed under custody and a warrant issued for his arrest on a charge of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon.
