Dallas Police Make arrest in Shooting Death

DALLAS, TEXAS – On Sunday, November 7, 2021, at approximately 2:48 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at 3400 S. Malcolm X Boulevard.  Officers observed the victim, James Arthur Davis, a 51-year old black male, lying on the ground in the parking lot of a business unresponsive with gunshot wounds.  Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the victim to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Through the course of the investigation, Homicide detectives determined that suspect Kerry Lamont Webb, a 51-year old black male, was responsible for the murder of the victim.  Suspect Webb is currently in the Dallas County Jail for murder, and a magistrate will set his bond. The incident has been documented under case number 202378-2021.
