Man found dead after neighbor noticed mail was piling up on front porch

NEW CASTLE, DE – On Saturday, patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Cleveland Ave in the community of McDaniel Crest for a Check on the Welfare complaint. The reporting person called 911 and stated that the mail to this residence was piling up on the front doorstep.

Upon arrival to the scene, patrol officers found all doors and windows secured. Forced entry was made to the residence and the officers located two subjects deceased inside.

The investigation is still active, yet detectives were able to learn from their efforts that there is no danger to the public and additional updates will follow.
