Two teens arrested for July murder and robbery

JACKSONVILLE, FL – On Sunday, July 18, 2021, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Departments responded to the 6500 block of Schindler Drive in reference to a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located what was later discovered to be a 24-year-old black male suffering from multiple gunshots wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he subsequently died as a result of the injuries sustained in the shooting.

JSO Homicide Detectives, along with the Crime Scene Unit, were notified and responded to the scene to conduct their coordinated investigation into the shooting death of the victim.

During the follow-up investigation, it was revealed there had been an altercation between several individuals that escalated into shots being fired and the victim being struck by gunfire. As a result, two suspects were identified as taking part in the shooting leading to the death of the victim. They were identified as Daishawn Fremell Gunn (Black/Male 19) and Tywan Tyron Anderson (Black/Male 19).

Warrants were obtained for both, and with the assistance of the United States Marshals Service, both were taken into custody and have been arrested for multiple crimes each, to include Murder and Armed Robbery.
