“You should try playing it, you never know what could happen,” said the father of a New Carrollton woman. She listened to her dad’s suggestion to give Racetrax a chance and wound up $30,734 richer.

The 22-year-old won big playing her very first Racetrax game, too. She placed a Trifecta bet for 12 drawings on the number 10, 11 and 12 horses to cross the finish line in that exact order and they did. Our winner found her Lottery luck waiting at A-1 Laundromat located at 6818 Riverdale Road in Riverdale.

“I couldn’t believe it,” said the Prince George’s County resident. She has played scratch-offs and won small prizes before, but winning $30,734 playing a game for the very first time makes for her most exciting win yet.

When not playing Lottery games, the lucky lady works as a medical assistant and takes care of her three dogs. When asked of her plans for her prize, she said she plans to pay off her college loans and buy a new car.

A-1 Laundromat, a Prince George’s County retailer, will also receive a $307.48 bonus for its role in selling a winning Racetrax ticket of $10,000 or more. The bonus is equal to 1% of the prize.
