Shore couple still missing nearly one week later

MANAHAWKIN, NJ – For nearly one week, a couple from Stafford Township, Lorraine, and Gary Parker have both been missing. Despite a widescale search and rescue effort by the Stafford Township Police Department and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office, the couple has not been found.

The pair was reported missing last Tuesday and the Stafford Township Police Department initiated an investigation using the department’s ATV Unit with the assistance of the Ocean County Sheriffs Department ATV Unit. The search had been conducted in the Warren Grove area.

So far, over 100 people including police officers, firefighters, and volunteers participated in the search for the couple. Police released mugshot photos of the couple to help the public identify them.

The case is now being investigated by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office which has not released any information about the search operation.
