Bay Shore man posed as rideshare driver and sexually abused his female passengers

SUFFOLK CO., NY – Suffolk County Police Acting Commissioner Stuart Cameron and District Attorney Timothy D. Sini today announced the indictment of a Bay Shore man who posed as a rideshare driver and sexually abused an unconscious woman, and sexually abused and videotaped other victims.

Raul Guaman broke into a home on November 15 and sexually abused a female resident who was sleeping. The woman awoke and called 911. Guaman and his vehicle were captured on video surveillance outside the residence. Guaman was arrested three days later and following his arrest, Third Squad detectives discovered multiple videos on his cell phone during which Guaman was engaging in sexual acts with unconscious females.

Guaman, 43, was charged with Criminal Sexual Act 1st Degree, Burglary 2nd Degree as a sexually motivated felony, Burglary 2nd Degree, Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, four counts of Unlawful Surveillance 2nd Degree and two counts of Sexual Abuse 3rd Degree.
