Laredo Sector Border Patrol Agents Stop Human Smuggling Attempt near Hebbronville

LAREDO, Texas – Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to the Hebbronville Station stopped a human smuggling attempt after conducting a vehicle stop southwest of Hebbronville, Texas.

The incident occurred on Dec. 8, when agents conducted a vehicle stop of a white SUV on Farm to Market Road 649.  Agents discovered five undocumented individuals from the countries of Mexico, El Salvador, and Honduras lying down on the back passenger area of the vehicle.  All were taken into custody and processed accordingly. The vehicle and the driver, a U.S. citizen, were turned over to the custody of the Jim Hogg County Sheriff’s Department.
