League City boys basketball coach charged for touching, relationship with player

LEAGUE CITY, TX – League City Police Department has arrested and charged Timothy Lyndon Sharer for Indecent Assault which occurred in the 2200 block of Bayou Cove Lane in League City.

The investigation revealed that on August 23, 2021, the victim was touched inappropriately in the genital area by Timothy Lyndon Sharer without the victim’s consent. Sharer had a prior relationship with the victim as the boys’ basketball coach for Bay Area Christian School, 4800 W Main St, League City. The assault occurred at Sharer’s home. The case was presented to Galveston County District Attorney’s Office and charges were filed. Sharer turned himself into Galveston County Jail on December 6, 2021.
