Howard County Police identify two victims in Saturday’s murder-suicide

COLUMBIA, MD – Howard County police are investigating a suspected domestic murder-suicide that occurred inside a residence in the 7300 block of Eden Brook Drive in Columbia just after 2 p.m. Police were called to area for reports of gunshots and found two adults deceased from gunshot wounds.

The victim in yesterday’s murder-suicide has been identified as Wendy Natalie Black, 42, of the 7300 block of Eden Brook Drive in Columbia. The suspect, who was the victim’s ex-husband, has been identified as Rajaee Shareef Black, 44, of the 7600 block of Ironworks Way in Hanover.

Just after the shooting, police located the Blacks’ two young children unharmed in Rajaee Black’s car, a gray BMW X3, in the parking lot of the apartment complex where the shooting occurred. The children have been placed in a safe environment and did not witness the incident. Police are not releasing the names, genders or ages of the children for their privacy.
