Baltimore Police Department needs your help identifying a homicide suspect

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – The Baltimore Police Department needs your help identifying a homicide suspect.

On December 9, 2021, at approximately 8:21 p.m., Northeast District police officers were dispatched to the 4800 block of Holder Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.

When officers arrived at the location, they observed 34-year-old Jake Rogers suffering from gunshot wounds. Rogers succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital medical personnel.


Homicide investigators obtained video footage from the area that captured the incident. The suspect can be seen in the video concealing himself, only to emerge once the victim is observed. After shooting the victim, the suspect flees the area.
