Egg Harbor man charged for homicide after fatal motorcycle crash

MAYS LANDING- On Dec. 13, 2021, detectives of the ACPO Crash Investigations Unit assisted the New Jersey State Police in the arrest of an Egg Harbor City man in connection to a fatal accident in Port Republic in Oct. 2020, Atlantic County Acting Prosecutor Cary Shill announced.

ACPO Crash Investigations Unit detectives assisted the New Jersey State Police with the arrest of Steven Hanlin for Vehicular Homicide in connection to a motor vehicle crash that occurred on October 3, 2020, on Clarks Landing Road in Port Republic.

On Oct. 3, 2020, Hanlin failed to maintain his lane of travel and entered into the oncoming lane where he struck a motorcycle head-on, operated by Anthony Migliaccio of Somers Point. Migliaccio, 63, was pronounced deceased at the scene.


Hanlin will be lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility, pending a detention hearing. Atlantic County Assistant Prosecutor Kathleen Robinson represents the state in this matter.
