Fauci warns of increased restrictions on freedom ‘if counts go up’

Robert Walker

Dr. Anthony Fauci said that if COVID-19 counts keep going up across the country, Americans can expect another round of restrictions on freedoms and civil liberties.

“You got to follow what’s going on. If the counts keep going up and that and the test positivity keeps going up, we may need to be more restrictive,” Fauci said. “But, for right now people who are vaccinated and boosted should feel reasonably comfortable. The risk is never zero, that’s for sure.”

Fauci wouldn’t say what rates or percentages would trigger another nationwide lockdown.
