Dr. Fauci wants Jesse Watters fired for disagreeing with his science and flip-flopping COVID-19 policy

WASHINGTON, DC – If the decision to fire Fox News host Jesse Watters was left to Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease specialist would do it in a heartbeat.

Watters has been a critic of the highly politicized doctor for his habitual flip-flopping on COVID-19 science and blames Fauci for funding gain of function research at the Wuhan laboratory.

“This is where you say Dr. Fauci you funded risky research at a sloppy Chinese lab. The same lab that sprung this pandemic on the world. You know what people don’t trust you, don’t you?” Watters said during a conservative speaking engagement this week. “Boom. He is dead! His dead. He’s done. You do that 30 seconds, it’s all you need.”

Those comments didn’t sit well with Fauci who called for Watters to be fired on the spot. The left also raged on Watters for his use of the words “boom”, “kill” and “dead”.

“That just is such a reflection of the craziness that goes on in society,” Fauci said. “And he’s gonna go, very likely, unaccountable … I mean whatever network he’s on is not going to do anything. I mean that’s crazy, the guy should be fired on the spot.”

Fox News said Fauci and the left were overreacting and twisting his words.

“Based on watching the full clip and reading the entire transcript, it’s more than clear that Jesse Watters was using a metaphor for asking hard-hitting questions to Dr. Fauci about gain-of-function research,” Fox News said in a statement.
