Dr. Fauci tells America to cancel their New Year’s Eve parties due to COVID-19

As the latest strain of COVID-19, omicron takes over as the dominant strain of the virus ahead of New Year’s Eve, Dr. Anthony Fauci is telling Americans to skip the New Year’s Eve parties this year unless they are contained to immediate family members only.

“I have been telling people if you’re vaccinated and boosted and having a family setting in the home,” Fauci said. “But when you’re talking about a New Year’s Eve party where you have thirty, forty, fifty people celebrating and you don’t know their vaccination status, I would stay away from that. We have other years to do that, but not this year.”

New York City has announced it will be at a limited capacity during its annual Times Square celebration to 15,000 spectators and require proof of vaccination to enter Times Square during the celebration.
