6 Year-old Accidentally Shoots 5 Year-old Sister in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – On January 1, 2022 at approximately 8:56 a.m., officers responded to a home in the 1600 block of N. Pulaski Street for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 5-year-old girl who was suffering from a graze gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

Western District shooting detectives have learned that the victim was accidentally shot by her 6-year-old brother after he got ahold of their father’s gun. The weapon was recovered and the father was at the scene.

This investigation is ongoing. Charges are pending.
