Miami, FL – Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said he will not allow state Democrats to impose any restrictions upon the people of Florida during the latest COVID-19 outbreak. The governor also took a shot at blue states that are closing schools due to omicron such as in New Jersey, New York and California.
“That is totally off the table,” DeSantis said. “You can make decisions with your own family. To impose social distancing with a pathogen that is airborne?”
DeSantis cited an MIT study that said social distancing is obsolete.
“I cannot believe they’re closing schools in these other states,” DeSantis said. “Have we learned nothing throughout the whole time? They’re sacrificing low and poor-income kids for no scientific reason…it’s all politics.”
