Biden: COVID is here to stay, but “New Normal Doesn’t Have to Be” after promising to shut down virus

After declaring last summer that he will “shut down the virus”, President Joe Biden is now back peddling and claiming COVID-19 is here to say. In the next sentence, the president declared COVID was not here to stay.

“I don’t think COVID ios here to stay,” Biden said. “That having COVID in the environment and in the world is probably here to stay but COVID, as we’re dealing with it now is not here to stay. The new normal doesn’t have to be…we have so many more tools we’re developing and continuing to develop that can contain COVID.”
