Newark police asking for assistance to identify robbery suspects

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara seeks the public’s help with identifying the below-pictured suspects in connection with an armed robbery on December 6, 2021.

Police responded to a call about a robbery that occurred around 11:48 p.m. in the 400 block of Littleton Avenue. When the officers arrived, the victim told them that he was approached by two males after he got out of his vehicle. One of the males, who had a weapon, demanded that he give up his money before punching him in the face and taking the $900 that he had. Suspect No. 1, who brandished the weapon, is described as a Black male, over 6’0” with a medium build, dark complexion, and facial hair. He was wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood, jeans, and dark boots.

Suspect No. 2 is described as a Black male, over 6’0” with a medium build and medium complexion. He was wearing a grey sweatshirt with a hood, a hat, a red and white scarf, black pants, and blue and white sneakers

Director O’Hara urges anyone with information about the suspects to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward
