Four Shot, Two Dead in Baltimore on Sunday

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – On January 9, 2022 several shootings and homicides were reported.

At approximately 5:12 p.m., officers responded to the 2800 block of Ulman Avenue for a shooting. Upon arrival, offers located a 44-year-old male who was suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 6:43 p.m. Homicide detectives are investigating this murder and are asking anyone with information to call (410) 396-2100 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7lockup.

At approximately 1:51 a.m., officers responded to the 1800 block of McHenry Street for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 45-year-old male who was suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment where he is in serious but stable condition. Southern District shooting detectives are investigating this incident and are asking anyone with information to call (410) 396-2499 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7lockup.


At approximately 3:35 a. m., officers responded to the 100 block of N. Fremont Avenue for a shooting. Upon arrival officers located an unidentified male who had been shot. The victim was transported to an area hospital and is in critical condition. Preliminary reports are the victim was walking down the street when a driver in an unknown sedan pulled along side the victim and shot him. Western District shooting detectives are investigating this incident and are asking anyone with information to call (410) 396-2477 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7lockup.

At approximately 6:03 a.m., officers responded to an area hospital where an assault victim walked in seeking treatment. Upon arrival officers located an adult male who was suffering from massive trauma. The victim was pronounced deceased a short time later. Doctors are still trying to determine how the victim sustained his injuries. The crime scene was located in the 2000 block of E. North Avenue. Homicide detectives are investigating this murder and are asking anyone with information to call (410) 396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7lockup.

At approximately 10:17 a.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 1100 block of Washington Boulevard for a report of a shooting. Once there, officers located a 21 year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital where his injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
