Camden teen arrested in Newark for home invasion murder of Pennsauken woman

Pennsauken, N.J. – A man wanted in the fatal shooting of a Pennsauken woman on 1/9/2022 has been apprehended, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Pennsauken Police Chief Philip Olivo.

Joshua Johnson, 18, of Camden was captured in Newark, N.J. on 1/12/2022 by the U.S. Marshals Regional Task Force. He has been charged with First Degree Murder and other offenses in the death of 62-year-old Darlene Randall in Pennsauken Sunday morning.

Officers responded to the 3700 block of Herbert Avenue at approximately 1:52 a.m. for reports of a home invasion. Upon arrival, they located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. She succumbed to her injuries a short time later at the hospital.


Johnson was transferred to Camden County where he was processed on the above charges and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing before the Court.

All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
