Columbus police investigating triple parking lot shooting that killed one

COLUMBUS, OH – Today, January 13, 2022, at 2:06 am, Columbus Police Officers were dispatched to the Next Level Lounge located in the 1300 block of S. Hamilton Ave. on a report of an armed group arguing and fighting in the parking lot.

While officers were enroute the radio room received another call stating someone had been shot.

On arrival, officers located 32-year-old Billy White, in the parking lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. White was transported to Mount Carmel East Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced deceased at 2:32am.

At scene, officers also found a second victim who had been shot, 65-year-old T.M. He was transported to Mount Carmel East Hospital, in stable condition.


A third shooting victim, 31-year-old C.K., drove himself to Grant Medical Center and is expected to survive.

White was out cerebrating his birthday with friends when an argument began inside the bar. The dispute continued out into the parking lot where the shooting occurred.
