Suspect who pulled gun during confrontation shot dead in Middleburg

MIDDLEBURG, FL  On Friday, CCSO deputies responded to a report of a person shot in the 4200 block of Angora Street. An adult male was found deceased from gunshot wounds. The other involved parties all remained on the scene and cooperated with the responding deputies.

Investigation into the incident, which included statements from the involved parties and video surveillance, revealed the deceased male traveled to this location to confront the other involved parties.

During the confrontation, the deceased male pointed a gun at the other involved parties during which time he was shot by one of the persons present.

The involved parties attempted to render aid to the male while calling 911, however the male succumbed to his injuries. There is no threat to the community as a result of this incident. As of this time, no arrests have been made, and the incident remains under investigation.
