Couple arrested for stealing $4,500 in lottery tickets, vape products

EVESHAM, NJ – On December 30, 2021 at 5:51 AM, a male suspect conducted a smash and grab style burglary at the Pantry One, 479 West Marlton Pike. The suspect approached the business from the area of South Cropwell Road and fled in the same direction after the burglary. The suspect stole lottery tickets, tobacco products, and vape products valued at $4,500.00.


During a follow-up investigation, Detectives were able to identify a vehicle that was involved in the crime and obtain additional surveillance video that assisted in identifying the suspects. Based on the information and evidence obtained during the investigation, the actual burglar was identified as Shaheed Appleton and his accomplice was identified as Jennifer Clinton. Appleton was charged accordingly and is currently lodged in the Salem County Jail. Clinton was charged accordingly and released on her own recognizance with a mandatory court appearance.


Arrested were Shaheed S. Appleton, age 32, of Glassboro and Jennifer R. Clinton, age 34, of Westville.
