LOS ANGELES, CA – After weeks of being in the news, Los Angeles is finally cleaning up its act as bandits rob cargo trains, leaving behind mountains of debris, but only after a cargo train derailed. It’s not sure what caused the derailment, but experts say the debris could have possibly been a factor, but not likely.

“We have increased the number of Union Pacific special agents on patrol, and we have utilized and explored additional technologies to help us combat this criminal activity. We also will continue to work with our local law enforcement partners and elected leaders,” the railroad company said in a statement regarding the rash of thefts in the Lincoln Heights section of the rail line.
