Port St. Lucie K9 cops retiring after years of public service to the community

Port St. Lucie, FL – After serving the residents of PSL since March 2015, K9 Blek and K9 Dingo are officially retiring from service. Over this time, Officer Miller & K9 Blek and Officer Gibbins & K9 Dingo have tracked missing and wanted individuals searched buildings & houses, located evidentiary items, apprehended criminals, and have performed demonstrations at community events for spectators of all ages.

K9 Blek and K9 Dingo will enjoy life after retirement at their K9 handler’s homes, becoming full-time stay-at-home pups. Officer Miller and Officer Gibbins will be traveling to South Florida to select their new K9 partners.

“On behalf of our community, thank you for your faithful, loyal, and devoted public service in keeping our city safe. Enjoy retirement K9 Blek and K9 Dingo,” the Port St. Lucie Police Department said in a statement.
