NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara reports the arrest of Zaire B. Bowman, 25, of Irvington, who was illegally dumping solid waste on January 18, 2022.

Police Officers were on patrol around 8:15 a.m. after receiving complaints about illegal dumping in the industrial area of the North Ward. The penalty for illegal dumping is $5,000 for a first offense, $10,000 for a second offense and up to $20,000 for the third offense, depending on what is being dumped.
