POMPANO BEACH, FL – An unidentified woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle while being chased by an adult male subject. According to Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit detectives, just before 6:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 18, a male subject was chasing the female victim through the parking lot of the Pat Larkins Community Center when she ran through some bushes and into the roadway, where she was struck by a Toyota Camry.

After the initial impact, the male subject then laid on top of the female victim, and they were both then struck by a Honda Civic. BSO deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded, and the male and female were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The female was later pronounced deceased at 11:34 p.m. The driver of the Toyota and Honda remained on scene. Investigators say neither excessive speed nor mechanical malfunction on behalf of the drivers involved are being considered as contributing factors to the crashes.
