D.C. man killed in fatal crash in Oxon Hill

OXON HILL, MD – The Prince George Police Department Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Sunday in Oxon Hill. The deceased driver is 35-year-old Cornelius Brown of Washington, DC. 

On January 23, 2022, at approximately 12:45 am, officers responded to the area between Glen Rock Avenue and Brinkley Road for a single-vehicle crash. Brown was pronounced dead on the scene. There were no other occupants in the car.

The preliminary investigation revealed Brown was driving eastbound on Brinkley Road, approaching Glen Rock Avenue, when, for reasons now under investigation, his car left the roadway, mounted the guardrail and ultimately came to rest on its roof. The driver was ejected from the vehicle.
