Sonoma, CA – On January 22 at about 8:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a report of a pickup truck driven into a business in the 1400 block of Industrial Avenue, Sebastopol. They arrived and saw someone had driven a truck through the front of a business and stolen money from the cash register. The suspect was gone, but was later identified as Juan Moreno-Gonzalez, 32, Sebastopol. Moreno-Gonzalez also had a misdemeanor warrant for driving under the influence.

Deputies started an investigation and learned the truck had been stolen from the same business earlier that day. Moreno-Gonzalez had stolen the keys and drove the truck away at about 3:30 p.m. Deputies issued a county-wide notice to law enforcement agencies with Moreno’s information and probable cause to arrest him. The next afternoon, after reviewing that notice, a deputy found Moreno-Gonzalez at his home and arrested him without incident.

Moreno-Gonzalez was booked into jail on three felonies: burglary, vandalism, and vehicle theft. Due to the zero-dollar bail schedule, he was released on a citation.
