OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ – They say lightning doesn’t strike the same spot twice, and typically a home that was struck by a car isn’t struck again, but in Ocean Township, that’s not the case.

On January 23rd, 2022 at approximately 4:20 am officers responded to the area of Bimbler Blvd for a report of a motor vehicle crash.  Upon arrival they discovered that a vehicle had crashed into a residence.  There were no residents inside of the home at the time of the crash. The vehicle was unoccupied and surrounding towns were notified.  During the course of the investigation, officers learned that the vehicle was reported stolen from New York City. The driver, Jeify Morel, was located a short time later and placed under arrest.

Last week, that same home was struck by a car.

“This is the second time the same residence has been struck by a vehicle,” the Ocean Township Police Department said. “In an unrelated incident, a motor vehicle crash was reported on January 15th, 2022 involving the same residence.”

During this investigation it was learned that the driver, Tristan Jordan, lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the residence on Bimbler Blvd.  Jordan was issued several motor vehicle summonses and released from the scene.
