WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Joe Biden is losing his cool with the American media focus on getting answers about the many problems facing the country and his administration. Last week, Biden called a reporter’s question about Russia’s troop build-up near Ukraine and the White House’s “wait and see what happens” approach, a “stupid question”.
Today, it was Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy who was on the receiving end of the visibly irritated president. Doocy asked the president a question about inflation.
After Biden said he wouldn’t take any off-topic questions from the media, Doocy asked if would consider taking questions about inflation.
The President then mocked Doocy.
“That’s a great asset…more inflation,” Biden said. “What a stupid son of a b-tch.”
Doocey later said that he was not offended by the comment and is taking it in stride. When asked by Jessie Waters about the comment, Doocey said, “Well, nobody has fact-checked it yet.”
Fox News host and former White House Press Secretary Dana Perino suggested Doocy can use the remark as the title of a future book about his time covering the Biden administration. Perino said if that had happened while she worked under former President George W. Bush, she would have called the reporter to apologize and even suggested having the president call the reporter personally to apologize.
