Indian River County deputies shut down drug house, two arrested

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FL – On January 27, 2022, detectives with the Special Investigations Section executed a narcotics search warrant as the result of a several-month-long investigation. During the said investigation, detectives purchased trafficking amounts of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine from Callum Eugene Young and his girlfriend, Andrea Bermingham. Both subjects live in the southern portion of Indian River County along with Bermingham’s two children, ages 13 and 15.

Both subjects were taken into custody on scene and a search of their residence was conducted. During the search, over an ounce of both Fentanyl and Methamphetamine, smaller amounts of Cocaine and Alprazolam, drug paraphernalia, and 13 firearms were recovered. One of the firearms, a Winchester Defender 12-gauge shotgun, was reported stolen by the City of Sebastian Police Department.

Young was arrested and charged with the following:
-Trafficking in Fentanyl (two counts)
-Trafficking in Methamphetamine (two counts)
-Sale of Fentanyl
-Sale of Methamphetamine
-Possession of a Controlled Substance (four counts)
-Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communications Device (two counts)
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
-Driving While License Suspended with Knowledge


Bermingham was arrested and charged with the following:
-Sale of Fentanyl
-Possession of a Controlled Substance (two counts)
-Introduction of Contraband into a Correctional Facility
-Resist Arrest without Violence

Both subjects were transported to the Indian River County Jail and are being held without bond.

DCF is conducting a separate investigation regarding the welfare of the children.
