TOMS RIVER, NJ – The Toms River Zoning Board will hear an application to build a 24-unit apartment complex near the corner of Church Road and Hooper Avenue in the Silverton Section of Toms River on February 10th. The project will be built behind a recently built retail plaza at the border of Toms River and Brick Township on the southbound side of Hooper Avenue.
That plaza also features a rear access road that connects to Church Road just west of the medical and professional complex at 2446 Church Road.

PUBLIC NOTICE PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on the February 10, 2022, at the Toms River Township Municipal Building, 33 Washington St., Toms River, NJ, the Toms River Township Board of Adjustment will hold a hearing on the application of State Liquors, LLC/Retail, LLC, at which time and place all interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard. Said meeting will take place at 6:30 P.M. The location of the site in question is in the HB Zone, Block 192.05, Lots 1,61, & 78, more commonly known as 1922 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ.
The applicant is seeking preliminary and final Major site plan approval to construct 24 residential apartments in the HB zone. Said application will require a variance as follows: Special Reasons Variance NJSA 40:55D-70d(1) to construct 24 residential apartments in the Highway Business zone( residential uses are not permitted in the HB zone Ord.348-10.26A) and any other variances and/or design waivers that the Toms River Township Board of Adjustment may deem appropriate and proper, for the purpose of constructing 24 residential apartments in the HB zone.
