Spice Company CEO That Called Republicans Racist Begs Customers To Buy Gift Cards

The Daily Caller

A national spice retail company that called Republicans racist earlier in January began to ask people to purchase gift cards after the company lost thousands of customers, multiple sources reported.

Penzeys Spices chief executive Bill Penzey sent an email to his customers on Jan. 14 calling Martin Luther King Jr. Day, “Republicans Are Racist Weekend.” Penzey sent out another email Friday asking customers to purchase gift cards, saying that the company lost 40,005 subscribers, or 3% of its customer base, since the first letter was sent, 1130 WISN reported.

The spice company hopes that the gift card sale “might make it a bit easier for you to share some and possibly get a few good new customers to replace the ones we’ve lost,” according to 1130 WISN. Penzey said that the news of his initial email added 30,000 new email subscribers but that the company is still down 10,000 former customers.

Penzey also asked his liberal customers to use his email chain as a way to speak out about their political views.

“If you can’t even begin to fathom how to ‘compromise’ with January 6th, or the Republican vaccine lies needlessly killing 10,000 Americans every week, if you have no desire to become half-way racist, and if their intent to destroy our climate for one thousand years to come doesn’t have you asking: ‘What if we just destroyed it for five-hundred years instead?’ we would be better off with you on this Voice Of Cooking email list,” Penzey wrote, according to 1130 WISN.

In the email sent on Martin Luther King Day Jr. Day, Penzey said he wanted to anger Republicans in honor of the civil rights icon, Fox Business reported.

“Remember how Republicans, going against a mountain of evidence to the contrary, once again lied and said BLM wasn’t a peaceful movement but instead terrorists inciting violence throughout the country and then raced out to buy a crapload of guns because maybe they were finally going to get their chance to shoot a Black person? What a bunch of racists,” the first email said, Fox Business reported.
