BOSTON, MA – At approximately 4:46 PM, on February 3, 2022, as a result of a joint investigation into a series of armed robberies at the Pleasant View Market, Detectives assigned to District C-11 and the Special Investigation Unit, placed Haitham Kheir, 42, of Dorchester, under arrest for multiple counts of armed robberies.

In response to multiple armed robberies, Detectives were conducting surveillance in the area of Pleasant St and Savin Hill Ave; when they observed a black male, later identified as Kheir, walking up and down the street, looking into the store as he passed. Detectives then observed Kheir enter the store, reach over the counter, manipulate the cash register, and knock over several displays.

Believing that the store was again being robbed, Detectives entered the store and placed Kheir into custody, removing a sizeable kitchen-style knife and cash from Kheir during the arrest.

Further investigation into another robbery that occurred on January 28, 2022 determined that detectives will charge Kheir for that robbery as well.

Kheir will be arraigned on two counts of Armed Robbery in the Dorchester District Court.
