by Breaking Local News Report

EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ – Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Evesham Township Acting Chief of Police Walter Miller announced today that police are investigating the suspicious death of an Evesham Township man, and a person of interest in connection with the incident is in custody.

Police were called to the Olympus Apartments on Baker Boulevard in Evesham today at 9:13 a.m., for a report of a possible dog attack on a resident of the complex. When police arrived, they discovered a male deceased in the residence, and a dog, the victim’s pet, also deceased, on a stairwell landing. The apartment where the victim was discovered contained signs of a struggle.

The ensuing investigation led authorities to identify a person of interest, who was taken into custody shortly after noon today. There does not appear to be any danger to the public from this incident.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
