Queens Congressional candidate bankrolled by convicted Jihadist financier, FEC report shows

QUEENS, NY – Rana Abdelhamid is running for Congress in 2022, but to get there, she needs money for her campaign and one of those people financing her campaign is a convicted Jihadist financier with ties to Osama Bin Laden. Abdelhamid is running for a seat in Congress in New York’s 12th Congressional District.

Abdelhamid, a progressive Democrat is seeking to unseat incumbent Democrat Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney who has served the state of New York in Congress since 1992.

FEC records show Abdelhamid has received $2,900 in campaign contributions from ex-convict Emadeddin Muntasser who used an American-based charity to fund Islamic Jihadists around the world and has suspected ties to Osama Bin Laden and the Al Qaeda terrorist network. A New Jersey Congressman, Tom Malinowski, who received funds from Muntasser has since pledged to donate the funds to the Capitol Police Department’s officer memorial fund.

Who is Emadeddin Muntasser?

Muntasser, through his Geneva Group and Quitri III, LLC made $2,900 in financial contributions to Abdelhamid’s congressional campaign fund.

“A convicted felon accused by the US government of supporting “the cause of violent jihad” — and promoting 9/11 mastermind Osama Bin Laden — donated to Joe Biden’s presidential campaign and a host of progressive Democrats [including Malinowski, Abdelhamid and Joe Biden] following his release from prison, records show,” the New York Post reported today.

Evidence presented during the 24-day trial proved that the defendants fraudulently used Care International to solicit and obtain tax-deductible donations for the purpose of supporting and promoting the mujahideen (Muslim holy warriors) and jihad (violent armed conflict).

The evidence demonstrated that from in or about April 1993 to April 2003, MUNTASSER, ALMONLA, and MUBAYYID, concealed the fact that Care International was an outgrowth of and successor to the Al-Kifah Refugee Center (“Al-Kifah”) and was engaged in non-charitable activities involving the solicitation and expenditure of funds to support and promote the mujahideen and jihad from the IRS, FBI, and Immigration and Naturalization Service (now known as Immigration and Customs Enforcement).

Further, the government proved that MUNTASSER, AL-MONLA, and MUBAYYID conspired to defraud the United States for the purpose of impeding, impairing, interfering, and obstructing the lawful functions of the Internal Revenue Service in the ascertainment, assessment, and determination of whether Care International qualified and should be designated as a charitable organization.

“The organization described its mission as helping war orphans, widows, and refugees in Muslim nations. But prosecutors said it was a successor to a US branch of a group founded by Osama bin Laden to recruit, fund, and transport Muslim militants involved in armed conflicts around the world,” the Boston Globe reported.

Muntasser has been accused of being a promoter of 9-11 mastermind Osama Bin Laden.
